Re: Words of wisdom from the past?

When you say "Do you really think practically half the audio industry in the UK would risk being attacked and ridiculed in reporting Peter's work and techniques if they did not regard it important to do so ?" this give the impression that half the audio industry in the UK *do* report on Belt products.

Yet when I peruse your New Year 2006 Newsletter there is a brief report from one Steve Paines reporting his dismay over the "discrimination from the industry which May and Peter receive all the time". This is related to an incident that occured in the Hi-Fi News sponsored room at the Sept. 2005 London Hi-Fi Show September 2005. He reports that in a question session the query "What do you think of Peter Belt and his foils ?" was put and that "... At this point there was a roar of laughter from the audience (except me). ...".

This is hardly consistent with what you have said here. In fact immediately following the Paines report the newsletter continues "Steve Paines' description of Ken Kessler's and Steve Harris's response at the Hi-Fi show just illustrates so clearly how strongly Ken Kessler and Steve Harris must fear being ridiculed - such fear that they appear to have to deny what they know regarding Peter."

Futher your statement "Do you really think the people would risk being attacked and ridiculed reporting ANY tweak they can hear create an improvement if they did not firmly believe that they think people should know ?" also has me puzzled because I see little evidence of people reporting experiences with Belt products, certainly not here on the AA, and the AA seems to have quite a few members from the UK I might add.

Perhaps you could explain what appears to me anyway be a certain contrary aspect between your recent statement here vs. the experience that is reported on your site and what we see, or perhaps more correctly ... don't see, here on the AA.

Thanks in advance.
