I think I see why you are puzzled, Charlie, which is that you appear
to be assuming that a Stereophile writer has to write something with
which I agree in order for it to be published in the magazine. This
is not correct. As editor, I will publish articles that personally I
do not agree with, in their entirety or in part, if I think the
writer is being honest to his own views and experience and is
presenting a case or an argument that I think needs or deserves to
see the light of day.

In this sense, I see a magazine as a forum where ideas can collide
and be examined critically, whether they are my ideas or not. I do
not impose my viewpoint on any of my writers.
