An ordinary Joe Consumer's take on this

I don't care if the "scientific" theory offered by a manufacturer seems preposterous. I might have thought the principle behind the airplane was preposterous if people hadn't flown all over the world in them long before I did. I've certainly never checked aerodynamic principles to make sure that a Boeing 767 can actually get off the ground.

But there is data that demonstrates that airplanes have actually flown, regardless of the theory behind it, right? Same for audio equipment. I don't care if you use DBTs (a boring red herring - can't even serve it for brunch), test bench equipment, or a popsicle stick, if you can't come up with some objective data that shows it does work, whatever the theory, I don't have time for it, and if I'm missing out on a good thing, so be it.
