Your examples are not where the argument lies

Objectivist, and I too hesitate to use this label, typically suggest that people hear a benefit from a new amp or a tweak but it is not "real" to use one of Austin's phrases and that they are merely thinking they better enjoy it. But my question for them is why don't some hear such a benefit?

Also were there clear science based designs, why does everyone not prefer these designs?

I don't really consider myself a subjectivist, save for the fact that I think science does not guide us to the best amp or cable, and I have heard benefits from some and not from others. I do NOT believe that I am delusional in thinking that as objectivists suggest. Their notion that unless THEY understand why there would be an improvement, they suspect a scam is just garbage and IMO unscientific to the extreme.
