Re: The sad fact about audio is how often audiophiles imagine hearing differences

RBG,

I'd like to see you prove this statement "When a component is compared with itself, we find audiophiles are so biased in favor of reporting differences, the typical result is "differences heard" 50% to 75% of the time."

I'd counter with the sad fact about audio is how often Objectivists claim Subjectivists ONLY imagine hearing differences! The typical result is Objectivists are making up this sad fact is 50% to 75% of the time."

As a diehard Subjectivist I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I've listened and wasn't sure if I did hear any differences to speak of. So I'd like to ask why am I NOT imagining I'm hearing differences those times as well? Allow me to answer that... because I don't imagine difference when I hear them, period!

If I hear differences I admit it & if I don't hear differences I admit it as well.
