A fabrication, Mr. Kuller

Some ( a few ) of my objections are directly under your misstatement. Ergo, why do you claim otherwise.

However, since you showed up to unethically personalize this debate again, let's go over that article again...

A few more:

Mr. Risch omits the facts about controls, and how they can in fact reject "expectation bias" of the "they are not different" variety.

Mr. Risch states incorrectly that if the cables are paralleled at either end, the "worst aspects of both cables..." which is only true for some presumed and unproven phenomina, and which would not be true in any form for other aspects.

Furthermore, the implicit assumption that both cables would be paralleled in this fashion is incorrect in at least some testing systems.

His objecting to "letting the music play on" runs counter to present understanding of the auditory system, unless he means something completely different than it would appear.

A tape loop, in any case, is far too unrepeatable for some testing. Use a digital source.

One can never PROVE a negative. Therefore Mr. Risch's goings on about "does not prove a negative" is redundant, and misleading.

Then, the claim that "there are no listening tests for audio cable sonics that have been done to the highest professional standards" is frankly nonsense. What's more, despite the insistance of all these "negative" influences, some somewhat iffy tests have indeed SHOWN DIFFERENCES in cables. Oops.

Finally as to "trust your ears" the record is clear. You can't do that in a sighted test if you're trying to really tell if something sounds different. DBT's are all about testing only your ears, and in that way trust your ears a whole lot more, since they don't rely on sight or a-priori knowledge.

Finally, his disclaimer of "... amateur ..." runs directly in conflict with his prior statement of "no, none, ..."

Happy now?
