I don't know about that...

...Caymus claims that this is the "usual" yeasayer "defense". I think he's being overly sensitive and making far too broad a generalization by asserting this to be the case. It would seem that but a small handful of individuals actually make this claim in the terms Caymus uses.

As for the claim itself, I do think it stands to reason that the more sensitive a system becomes, the easier it is to hear any given products contribution, or lack thereof. This matches my own experience at any rate. I'll grant you that it would be nice to have both naysayer and yeasayer experience/opinion expressed in more becoming terms.
