Silver,

>>>Yes. As I wrote at the like, I think any SET amps are practically incapable of decent reproduction of music, considering the availability of efficient and decent sounding speakers now a day.<<<

Sorry to disagree, yet i have the Avantgarde loudspeakers here which are 100+ db/w/m sensitive and the system is extremely dynamic. Of course those using Thiel, B&W or other less than sensitive and/or hard load loudspeakers. Sensitivity is good, though so is a sane impedance load.

>>> One may be tempted to use a SET amp when he listen to music only in small volume, but even at 75db peak using a 90db efficient speaker. it gives me a kind of listening fatigues. Although while listening it the sound very revealing and exciting without any ostensible distortions, after 15 minutes I usually do not want to go on listening any more. This is exactly the case even when I listen to music at Kondo-san's place at AN-J .<<<

Might i humbly suggest you that other systems or, better still, design one around your own preferences. One man's dream could be another man's nightmare. i hate Lincoln and Cadillac automobiles. Other love them.

>>>When I listen to Wagner's RING with MacIntosh SS 600w amp driving low-efficient B&W801, I can contunute to listen to music 17 hours straight
with identical SPL of the live without any fatigue.
The facts are so simple.<<

Yes, the facts ARE simple.. for YOUR preferences. The FAST is YOU like that setup. FACT is i might not. Over the years i have has clients whose system i have had to design around THEIR preferences and NOT my own. This is why i sometimes end my letters with:

In the end what REALLY matters is that YOU...

Enjoy the music,
