Naw, the TAD's don't need much power at all. You can rock the house with 8 watts. The compression drivers only need 1 watt to produce 117 db a meter away in a suitable horn. I have a TAD 15" driven with 7-8 watts and a TAD compression driver driven by a 3 watt amp biamped and it plays loud with very little if any compression, much more dynamic than any B&W's I've heard. The best I've ever heard the 801's sound is with the Citation XX amp. It was real impressive.It would be interesting to compare to your B&W's driven by your Big Mac's though.
