In my experiance listening fatigue comes from:

1) Digital playback

2) Hard sounding SS equipment

3) Resonant tweeters

4) Shitty recordings

Not always in that order.

Solution:

1) A good analog front end

2) tube gear

3) listen to speakers for at least a weekend before laying down the cash

4) ???????????? Just "beer" with them...

I've also found the new Bel Canto convertor eliminates a lot but not all the digital induced fatigue. Also drinking alcohol tends to numb the right cells and lessens the effect of the fatigue : - )
