I suppose the resolution of the system as a whole has something to do with it. Overall however I have noticed that at low volume with my current set-up (ARC) I can listen low (60-70 db) without losing any of the dynamic contrasts of the music and the details are there as well. I never noticed it as well with the Threshold S-200 I used.
