At one occasion I auditioned a big horn system at Kondo-san place, I inadvetently shed tears while viewing an old vidio of Furtvaengler conducting for a celebration festival for Hitler's birthday. The sound was of cource very bad because of the recording condition of tha war-time movie. The picture was really disgusting because many uniformed Nazi SS members on the screen. The sheding tears has nothing to do with emotional involments to the music or movie itself, but it comes from the simple phisical property of soud; distortion.
And my own experience of my SET amp tells, I can not enjoy music at prolonged period of time over 15 minutes.
