And yours can? If so, it's the only audio system on earth
(or you've never heard the BSO performing say Mahler's 7th or 8th
live then).

Yes, I can.

You can what? What about your system?

However the 7th or 8th row, IMHO, is not paticulary suited to hear music comfatably because at that frontal seat you can hear only the front sections of strings.

ROFLMAO.

I recommend you to bring RS SPL meter with you to a consort, for I always bring a SPL meter with me to every coseorts I attend to.

ROFLMAOM.

Tell me. YOU STILL DIDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION. WHAT TUBE AMPS HAVE YOU HEARD? DID YOU HEAR THE CJ PREM 8 OR ARC REF 600? Stop avoiding anwering every question and changing the topic when it suits you!!!

LP usually falls far behind CD in dynamics whith a few exception of direct-cuttiong LPs.

Not across the board and not at all when it comes to microdynamics/musical accents. As I said, you should buy a PA system since all you care about is SPL. Unfortunately there's a lot more to reproducing the sound of music than boom.

Tell the people about your analog front end so they can have another laugh.

My measureing is not restricted in orchestra, I often attend salon consorts by Jorg Demus, a wien famouse pianist as you know him. What you wrote after the quote above simply contradicts with the fact I ovserve.

Who cares? I'm not going to get into debates about who's the best pianist, conductor, etc. with you because that's not what the topic was--and for once stay on the subject.

. DID YOU OR DIDN'T YOU USE AN ORIGINAL MERCURY LP FOR THE STARKER COMPARISONS

should I get exhorbitantly priced used orginal Mercury in the first place?

Troll, troll, troll and double troll. Change the subject. You bore me. The point was that you were comparing the CD to an inferior mastered LP. Your conclusions are therefore null, void and totally meaningless. Come back to us then when you've made a real comparison that counts. This is the real point of the thread and I am now done. You don't know what you're talking about.

Ramble on since I've proved my point and am done. Goodbye.
