It is very intriguing to know how deeply bias in favor of tube amp is rooted in u.s high-end audio.
I am not saying B&W DM2A is the representative of speaker suited to a small powered tube amp, and do not think it is paticularly suited to ongaku, however the DM2 quite resemble to the sound of AN-J Kondo-san's place in Tokyo. If you do not get fatigued by tube ampplification, you are OK. I am very curious to konw what kind of music do you like. Are you just litenning to so-called audiophile recordings? Do you know these classical musicians I like such as Herbert Kegel, Michele Auclair,Anatol Ugolski,Sigiswald Kuiken, Bruno Canino? Or, you care just hear only easy-listenning classical pieces such that Harry Pearson has listed on his WEB? Or, you hear only heavily compressed roc/pops recordigs?
