It may be true that TAD's do not need much power and 8 watts will be enough for them to go very loudly, but when I compare these with old ALNICO magnet units of ALTEC, they sound very heavy. They say that they are designed to be hard driven by SS high-powered amp. It is not correct?
However, your system is very interesting. And I am also interested in JBL 46cmX2 woofer+JBL 25cm mid-bass+Wood nid horn+ horn tweeter system.
