RE: Tweeter difference problem with 3.3Rs and more

Hi Satie,
Well just caught up on a bit of sleep,- time for a late night loooking at these what horrors I'm going to find in these speakers.

The Quad 606 DOES have a thump when you turn it on, however the NAD 208 (very usefully) uses delay relays of about 3 seconds, - I've never heard a thump turning it on in all the time I've been using it. So I guess I can use it without a cap. Like I say it operates in Class AB most of the time, I seriously doubt I've ever even had it switch to the Class G mode when I've used it, - it has so much power in Class AB mode anyway the rail can;t have been used in my small room. Some modders disable the rail switching apparently as the amp is supposed to sound slightly better without it and you still have a lot of power, but I guess with the rail in place and ready for use there is precious little chance the amp will clip under any circumstances.

Will Class AB be OK in terms of oscaillation for that tweeter? I guess thats why Slass A is really recommened for a riiibon? Should I use a cap as well just in case bearing this in mind, or will it not matter?

All the best,
Colin
