RE: Tweeter difference problem with 3.3Rs and more

The issue is not the maximum power of the amp. It is its capacity to drive a 2 ohm load - i.e. stability, and then the max power should be high not low, since what will bur your tweeters is clipping. So use a 100+ W/ch A/AB or 50+ w/ch class A amp you have that is specified into 2 ohms..

You are not going to be driving 100 db spl signals. so first of all get a test CD or a download of test tracks, use the test signals that fit in the tweeter's pass band (over 1.5 khz. Don't play them at too high a volume. Also, you can cross over with the Behringer into the tweeter's amp at say LR4 alignment at 2 Khz, feed that to an amp without hum.

If you have access to the tweeter's connectors, go get the females of the connectors on the tweeters (they are male if I remember right) to make a set of hookup cables to hook to your power amps. You need to hook BOTH tabs to make a circuit (you obviously know this, but it seems that outside of last night you have not been sleeping).
