RE: Tweeter difference problem with 3.3Rs and more

Hi Satie,
Thanks again!
Glad you noticed my sleeping habits!, - I stay up late here I know! (up to 4am some nights), - when I do that I've usually had a quick sleep at work in the day! (its that kind of job!) But I am a bit sleep deprived in general, - probably why I ask so many dumb questions and forgot most of the maths I used to know!

Ahh in thats case I thinik the best amp to test the tweeter with is my NAD 208 THX SS power amp, - it is class AB though (not class A) with a class G switching rail circuit.
Here is a pic of it

And here is a review
http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_3_2/v3n2h.html
If you look at the second paragraph it explains its specs, - according to that it can deliver 900 watts into 2 ohms on transient peaks using the rail (and using 14 mosefts per channel in total during the peaks).

Here are the specs (second page)

Do you think this will be OK? I think this amp is very unlikely to clip.
Might I need to use a cap as well?
I could use the Quad but this NAD amp has a lot more power/current capability. The NAD does not sound quite as good as the Quad but its for testing puproses obviously.

All the best,
Colin
