Tweeter difference problem with 3.3Rs

Hi guys,
After the first problem of banana peel with the used 3.3Rs I jsut picked up comes a second problem!

The tweeters sound different from each other and its noticeable. I am not sure in what way exactly. Either one sounds a bit brighter and higher frequency response than the other or one is more sensitive than the other one, - its quite hard to tell which of possibilities is the case.
The tweeters are consecutive serial nos so they are definitely the same model.
I guess its possible one of the tweeters has had a repair or has been damaged somehow.
This result above is with nothing inserted into the tweeter attenaution slot. What I can do which balances the tweeters up more is to short the attenuation slot of the speaker that has the quieter/duller tweeter and insert a 1 ohm reissitor into the speaker with the louder/brighter tweeter. This makes things better but its still not quite right.

Obviously I would like to resolve this, - but wanted to gather some info first

Just wanted to ask (if anyone knows)
1. Is the quieter/duller one likely to be faulty? or the other way around?
2. If I buy a new tweeter from Magnepan, will it be likely I will be able to get it to gel with one of the present tweeters? Or will I have to buy two new ones. I guess I could get just one and try it first though.

I see there is the repair kit and this is attractive to me as its cheaper and I don't have to ship any used tweeter back (and I am in the UK so shipping is high), but the problem with this is I know its a bit difficult and time consuing to do and also there is no easy compare with my present tweeters so I will not know exactly which is the best present tweeter to rebuild. So I think my only option really is to get one whole new tweeter unfortunately. It is pricey at $400 + shipping and taxes to the UK which is likely not to be cheap!

If anyone had any thoughts on this it would be really appreciated,
