There is no belief involved. It is not valid in the sense of supplying scientific information (scientific method). Which is not to say it does not supply some information just that it is too incomplete to attempt to draw any conclusions.

Why all this belief? Did nobody in the group have a technical background? Did nobody think to seek an explanation elsewhere? Did you all (and do you still) think that the technically literate are all mistaken in their own field? I still find it almost incomprehensible that audio enthusiasts other than the wholly passive cannot work out cables for themselves.

I was referring to your problem that people do not accept your conclusions concerning your experiment. In order to address it you need to do something about their concerns assuming you recognise them to be valid. Expecting them to travel to where you live and listen to your cables is asking them to make the effort and not you. This is the wrong way round if you genuinely wish to persuade them.
