one thing i have noticed is

if you switch from one cable to another and it affects the sound by doing something (sound becomes more dynamic)like making the amplifier run hot and turn off or go into oscilation or in any other way make something happen, the other cable did not do.

some will argue that it is because of a reactive or what ever load that the sound changed or became different,and not the cable.

some will not admit the cable is responsible for the difference, they just say the impedance load or value between the components is now a different value, so hence ,you can hear a difference,because of it.
