differences (well-almost always) but it can take hours, days or even weeks to determine/decide which is "better". Some changes (tweaks) can make some recordings sound better and others worse. This is why I completely fail to understand the value in sitting in a room while someone changes things around. Sometimes you may hear differences, sometimes not. Sometimes the procedure itself will mask the differences. Other times you may reverse your "choice" based on the music being played.
Frankly, I do not care a whit whether or not someone else believes I can or cannot hear something. Nor do I feel any need to "prove" anything! (That is NOT to say that I don't LOVE it when someone else independently confirms my findings though).
It's my system - it's my ears - and it's my music.
FWIW - I am usually successful at ignoring these threads because they are far more predictable than any change I might make to my audio system.
