Ahh, changing your ground, I see.

How did

1) "measure compeltely differently in every parameter."

get to

2) "measure the same."

To say they measure "completely differently" {sp. corr.] implies significantly large differences. But "measure the same" does not.

BTW, I wouldn't fully endorse the statement from TAC quoted by bjh:

3) "As I have pointed out innumerable times, a properly designed amplifier has no sound of its own. It is impossible for two amplifiers to sound different at matched levels if each has high input impedance, low output impedance, flat frequency response, low distortion, low noise floor, and is not clipped."

It is a statement of the null hypothesis and cannot be absolutely proven. TAC would have to modify their statement were it proven wrong.

The same would go for the statement you attribute to Tom Nousaine:

4) "all competently designed amplifiers...sound the same".

I do point out, however, in regards to statements 3) and 4), that it is up to those who believe such amplifiers sound different to establish that they do sound different. Get back to me when you do that . . .
