That's the contradictory nonsense, Tom. I think even you've admitted that.

As for choosing the more accurate component, well, that remains to be proven. Besides, no one chooses components "solely by listening." No one could listen to all the available components, and indeed, it's even hard to be aware of a great many of them. I dare say it's impossible to listen to every component one is aware of. So, many are screened out because you don't know about them, can't get to them, or don't have time. No doubt others are screened out more consciously based on reputation, reviews, and so on. So you can only choose by listening only among those you actually can listen to, and there's no guarantee the ones you pick will be the more accurate.
