It's a nice idea, Lynn.but

Lynn: ""
Lastly, we really do need a moderator for Prop Head and this should be snake oil free zone, that promotes discussion of equipment on proven merits. This would include discussions based upon measured performance, DBTs, and based upon known laws of physics. It would be refreshing. ""

While I do like the idea, I also have concerns.

If, for example, the moderator at cables is suddenly the moderator at prop, are we better off, or worse?

Who decides what is snake oil, what is not?

Is discussion of the inability of DBT's to discern low level localization parameter changes part of an agenda to debunk DBT's, or is it a realistic discussion of test limitations?

A discussion of biwire-prevented dissipation errors in a frequency branched system, with the resultant possibility that a class of signals defies an FFT based spectral analysis...is that snake oil from a biwire vendor, claptrap from a guru, or is it a valid frame of discussion??

I would love a moderator that would do everything I want done...but I also fear the untoward concequences.

Cheers, John
