My listening seat is most often ~12 feet distant from the center of the T/M panel which is also the distance between their drivers, equilateral triangle? Sometime I might picture the seat, naturally push it aside when taking pictures because it's of little or no consequence, though it does sit somewhat low so often substitute it. Low height increases low frequency sound, sometimes too much. I've been collecting CDs for a bit over 30 years (and can still play an original unmodified Magnavox CDB-650 1986), and began seriously adding to the CD collection a little earlier. Stereo LPs, longer starting about 50 years ago, so I've had a lot of listening time, (and retired 25 years ago). The collection also includes commercial O/R and cassettes tapes. I've discarded many O/R tapes when they started to 'squeal'. I've sold/given away many duplicate recordings, individual Mercury Living Classics CDs because I have the 3 MLP box collections, Arthur Rubinstein CDs because I own the big RCA/BMG box, Glenn Gould, etc. and want the space. What's often said about this collecting phenomenon is that people often own large book libraries, which doesn't mean they read them all. Plus when wanting to listen to Heifetz's performance of the Beethoven Violin Concerto, I needn't listen to the entire CD which includes the Mendelssohn Concerto.
