I would rather put something reflective over the TV screen, but haven't found any diffusing curtains! I figure an absorptive curtain would be preferable to reflections off a TV screen. Anyone disagree? I suppose I could move a diffuser to in front of the screen while not watching it, but what a pita!
ahendler, you feel "a hard solid wall across is the best for Planar (Dipole) speakers", but the "common wisdom" is that diffusion of the rear wave of a dipole is preferable to any direct reflections off a hard wall behind the speakers. The sound bouncing directly off a hard wall can cause comb filtering, and skewing of amplitude and time domain response. How do all ya'll feel about that?
