RE: Not drowning, waving!

Yes, not dying but changing. The internet has changed everything and recorded music is no exception. We I was a kid we listened to music on a transistor AM radio. I never really heard a hifi stereo setup until college. There was a guy who had been in the service and had bought a bunch of stuff like so many service men did back in the 60's. He had a Garrard Turntable, Sansui reciever, Sony tape deck, Fisher speakers setup. We had a great time listening to his collection of big band jazz. He eventually upgraded to a Maranz amp and Klipsh speakers. He did more to promote the hobby than anyone I ever knew. I do what I can as a music teacher by teaching a unit on music technology, introducing students to different types of recording methods and a short history of the technology. I is stupid to bash mp3 etc. It isn't going anywhere and it keeps getting better. If you think it is bad now, you should have heard it when it first came out.
