Bose is a product nearly every audiophile will have some opinion over, sometimes from experience, sometimes Parroting what they heard from others.Many years ago I bought a used pair of 901s, highly touted by Hi Fidelity magazine I believe. Luckily I got them way below retail since I only kept them about two months. I never could adapt to the experience of singers and guitars as wide as the front wall behind the speakers. Some friends who loved listening to rock at high levels without any concern for imaging or realism loved Bose speakers. They were not for me.
BTW, I have been amazed at pricing for some current Bose products. It seems at least as good a quality could be obtained for less money.
