I have an uncle that retired recently from an Ear, Nose and Throat practice and he told me short of surgery to deafen the ear, there wasn't anything that he knew of to cure tinnitus. What was worse, it often didn't work, and that the person lost their hearing and kept the tinnitus! I think that you just have to learn to live with it.
