I've tried RingStop. I'm not sure it did much for me. It MAY have reduced the volume a bit, but, with tinnitus, there is no way to tell. Lately, I have been taking large amounts of Zinc and B vitamins, and that does seem to help. So far, it seems to give me a good day or two, then return. I stop taking the vitmins for a few days, then start over. One day week of good listening time has to do, I guess. When I get really frustrated, I use a PC tone generator and headphones and zap myself with various tones. Does not do much, other than drown out the noise inside with noise from outside! On bad days, though, it does reduce the percieved volume a bit for a while.
I'm finally learning to stay far away from caffiene and sugar, which really up the volume.
Even the Tinnitus clinic here in Portland which is one of the best says "get used to it" as the bottom line.
Time for you to stay away from loud noise, or wear hearing protection if you cant.
