Some peoples idea of 'funny' sould be a default committment to the psych ward. For days afterward the slightest high pitched sounds that others couldn't even hear drove me crazy. After several years, things seem to returning to normal or else I've adjusted to it (my doctor things it has largely gone away). However, I am very careful about not doing things like going to a loud concert; it isn't much fun because of the ear pain and it brings back the 'tinny' for awhile. Ginko did provide some relief but the real cure for me was time (and avoid too much aspirin and caffiene). Good luck.
