Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

G10, FR4?

Both are common circuit board substrates. Drilled, milled, and now laser cut countless times every day.

I have been making PC boards at home for over 30 years. I lately use true PC board drills with the 1/8in shank but before that I just used standard carbide bits and still do for any hole over 1/16in.

Never really had any issues other than the bit dulling after about 1000 holes or so. But that's a very rough estimate.
