Band saw or cut-off saw

I use a band saw for aluminum and copper rod up to an inch or maybe a little more. Above that, I use a cut-off saw. Some of the aluminum rod that I cut for trim rings is almost 4" diameter. It can take 15-20 minutes to slice through that, even with a large cut-off saw. I take frequent breaks to let everything cool down.
