I don't agree. Rubbing alcohol contains water and can ruin a steel cutting surface (or an entire mill) in short order. Propanol emits a lot of fumes, plus it will wash the lube off any surface it contacts. I use a thin mixture of automotive transmission fluid and mineral spirits for most cutting. Works great and protects all my tools from rust.
