Hi.Probably the most expensive solidstate intergrated amp in the world is built in Germany, housed inside a see-through plastic case.
Per its cost-is-no-object audiophile designer, plastic casing sounds better than any metal case due to its non-metallic nature which affect the sounds least.
Its optional added-on MM phono amp board, which alone tagged for a couple of thousand greenbacks, is is battery powered.
To provide the needed shielding, the power supply filter board is stacking up upside down on top of the amp board with many 'lytic caps seated tightly together to form the shielding.
