Hmmm

Is your emotional and negative response towards DBTs representative of audiophiles?

Emotional response? Whatever. My long term experience simply differs from the DBT results I've read.

What message would this be putting across? Something like cheap receivers are as good as expensive receivers perhaps? And what does that say about the rest of Zapasonics range? What would their dealers and sales people think? What does it do for the brand?

Your commentary seems to suggest that DBT results aside, companies whose product range may span such extremes (don't know of any off hand) are currently deceiving customers by "hiding the truth". Is the focus of the brand to offer expensive gear with little or no value?

I just don't share the view that all audio companies are charlatans if they are unable to empirically prove their worth. That notion has never bothered the automotive industry, the photographic industry, etc.
