I have noticed a bit of extra bloom, DJs on the radio can sound like they are in a barrel. I bought a pair of Sound Anchor stands and got it under control a bit better (and yes they are blu tacked). I use 2.5 meters of Lexus bi wire so that part should be good. I noticed a bit of loss of bass control when I switched from Soro SE to Meishu (well worth it for the hugely expansive midrange)
I have noticed that with my Muse CD player there is more bass than with my Audio Note TT1, Arm1 and IQ2 analogue set up in which the bass seems nice with a bit o bloom, so there is something to be said for all Audio Note all the way.
I have recently moved them back into the corners (they were near the side walls about 8" from the back wall) There is a quality that I quite like when they are 1" - 2" from the corners, even if the bass is excessive, I crave the way it shifts the focus of my listening from harmonics to fundamentals (if that makes sense). The bass seems more dynamic as well and all the sound seems to reach your ears at the same time - its more cohesive (if you will).
fwiw I am no expert at cabinetry and could not do the 90 degree corners like the instructions specified so they are out of spec - though well within 1 mm in size though.
I hope this gibberish helps you, I am not the best at making things concise
thanks
Phil
