Thanks, R & Vincin. I will play more with positioning and try them RIGHT in the corners, which I did not really try.

My room is quite large, actually, and irregular, so standing waves should not be a big problem.

As to my question about the factory models, yes, the dimensions including port are the same, but the cabinet construction is very different.
