FWIW, when I bought my VTV they weren't offering the EVAL-1 choice which I would have chosen if available. Instead I bought mine with the Hypex NC500 Evaluation Boards, (which see at link).I found the Hypex unlistenable -- extremely sharp and unnatural sounding high treble, especially at higher volumes.
I bought the VTV buffers to replace them -- no exchange offered -- with the Sparkos SS3602 op amp. I tried other op amps but ended up staying with the Sparkos; maybe not too surprising considered the the VTV board was designed by Sparkos' designer.
NOT the 51st state, eh!?!
