RE: Start with the basic science behind audio measurements. nt

What does that mean? Are you saying the measurements aren't done correctly? It is not clear at all what you imply.

Look, if you want to have meaningful discussions then stop acting like you know something the rest of us don't. I share my references and you put up cryptic responses...not helpful.

I have a Ph.D in analytical chemistry, so I know quite a lot about measurements and objective data. I designed and built a laser desorption, aerosol mass spectrometer as part of my Ph.D. In chemistry, objective data is everything. There is only small wiggle room for interpretation subjectively.

Audio is fundamentally different because the ultimate "detector" is the human ear/brain mechanism. Measurements are just a proxy for this because we don't know exactly how those data impact the hearing experience.

The best we can do is empirical correlation between what people say they think sounds better and what objective data that best correlates to.

So, again, please show something meaningful or keep quiet.
