Do you know how the QR ribbon is glued? My understanding is that the spray adhesive merely tacks down the wire and that the Milloxane polyurethane glue is what actually holds it in place. But when I looked at my QR driver it didn't seem to have Milloxane on the foil.
The Milloxane also apparently damps the diaphragm. Maybe that's not necessary in the quasi-ribbon woofers because the aluminum sandwich provides superior damping? My QR tweeter seems to have much better damping than the wire woofers, judging by the tapping test.
