Jesus, why would they do that? They do have a squeaky clean, stellar reputation and a huge following of religious converts. Why mess with that?
One thing that worries me is how audio now gets enmeshed with video. More and more people talk about high end experiences where it's mostly about hi-def TVs which are then coupled with supporting audio chain. So the audio gets to play the second fiddle (pun intended!)
I don't like that, and I also don't like surround sound. I hope that Magnepan don't start catering to the video geeks with fat wallets and reinvent their speakers to better portray the sound helicopters make when they collide with downtown LA highrise towers and explode on the screen!
