Questions answered by number asked.
1 - Is dynamat sold as an item that "couples" materials or isolates them? It's the latter, so how then can the wood absorb vibrations this material is going to try to stop from passing thru it? IMHO this dynamat topic has been adopted by people who can't or won't fix this problem the right way, and that is by making wooden frames. If you're making frames, do yourself a favor and forget the dynamat.
2 - Maggie drivers are held in by staples, not nails. To remove them use a wide (but narrow pointed) slotted screwdriver and pry the top and one side up. You can then push from below, grab the driver and use it as a lever to pry the other side up and remove it.
However, my advice should you make the frames "ugly" is, they will still work, so rather than go back to the MDF cover the whole wooden frame with your socks and make them look like they were still stock.
