A serious question

Have you heard any system that "sounds like anything you've heard in a live setting"?

I've been in this hobby for decades, owned a wide assortment of components, belonged to audio clubs where I heard many other member's systems, and attended an uncounted number of audio shows. I also have attended many live performances of a wide variety of music, including unamplified acoustic performances. I've never been fooled by believing the recorded music was live.

Yes, a few systems have come close. But they were few in number and then only with selected recordings. Once I realized that I accepted the only absolute sound was with live, unamplified performances in non-intrusive acoustic settings.
