Most of the "very flat" speakers sound the worst. And the best musically rewarding speakers that have been around for a long time and still sell measure pretty poorly by comparison -- see Quad K-Horn etc etc etc.Flat frequency isn;t going to happen and if you move your head an inch -- it's gone anyway. Transient repsonse, decay, dynamics, distortion are all far more important. Which is why most of the advertised east coast speakers sound dreadful but measure well. Because they are hopeless at everything except frequency response.
