Apples and oranges.
A PLLXO completely reconfigures your scheme by bandwidth-limiting the power amps, and also allows removal of the complex components in a high-level crossover. It's not even a valid "dirtier/duller" comparison.

You're asking (essentially) the same simplistic questions you did months ago when I suggested you read up on this topic. I'll suggest it again. :)
