You have said why it is so in the past. I don't buy it. But, no one is perfect; I am a slave of formal classical music training, and perhaps you are so of the engineering formulas. Yet, my condition doesn't prevent me from measuring and testing objectively, which I do as much as I can afford to. Does your condition keep you from telling us about the music itself?
Here is the thing that I find remarkable for not being there. You seem to have implemented electronic stuff that should have delivered outstanding audio improvements. So, where is the joy?
Where is the triumph when an instrument that never did so before in your system, starts delivering its true colors and textures? Or when a voice gets body and sweet presence that moves your soul? Or when a full orchestra blows space wide open in the 3D glory of pinpoint accuracy and moves YOU to a concert hall?
You may not want to believe it but some of those things described above, and much more, are real and stir our souls. So much so, in fact, that sometimes we have an urge to tell someone about it, to share it. Sometimes we actually do tell. There is enough commonality of shared perception among us as to make this a practical endeavor. Furthermore, when we have a chance to do so, we also want to tell others how to get the same type of joy.
This is about music, tell us about the joy in the music. It won't make you less of an engineer, probably more.
