What component values on your RC shunt did you use?Tube amps are a different beast. Much depends upon the output scheme and how global feedback (if used) is configured.
But I would generally agree though....the trade-off is different and an RC network might not be needed.A series inductor unloads your speaker from the amplifier at above-audio frequencies. This may be okay with certain tube amps....or it may not be.
Obviously, there are waaaaaay more amplifier/wire/RFI/etc/etc combinations in use by Maggie owners than there are Maggie speaker models.
Neither a "choke tweak" or RC shunt is a guaranteed improvement in all situations. A seat-of-the-pants approach is not the way to approach this. :)Dave.
