Each speaker gets 2 of these ribbons, one per terminal.
The actual pattern, I suspect, may make no significant difference. So long as some separation is observed and the same pattern is used for all cables. This is all mildly informed speculation, really.
There will be no other patterns of MM842 here for a while. After what I experienced tonight, BLISS, with type "R" version 1...I am counting my blessings. I do have to make another set of 4 for bi-amping but these have to be done just the same way. Plus I still plan to do one other variation. The ribbon with 25 lengths of 30ga...simply because I refuse to throw all that leftover 30ga away...and I am curious. MagRed25?
On Sunday, I greatly enjoyed listening to music for many hours. But it was raining hard most of the time. On Monday evening, I have had 4 hours. No rain. No noises. No people. It made it more obvious that these cables allow an enchanting formula to prevail. Even with no bi-amping, the sum of the Razoring and the oak Stixbees is showing its power of seduction.
I had a very hard time pulling myself away from the music this evening. At times, I laughed to myself that no one would believe any of it...much less the impressive amount of bass presence that MMGs are not supposed to have...but do.
